There’s Just Been A Major Police Raid In The ‘Snapchat Killer’ Case

Assorted police agencies are currently searching a property where the bodies of Delphi, Indiana teenagers Liberty “Libby” German and Abigail “Abby” Williams were found last month.

“The FBI, State Police and local police applied for a search warrant for the property owned by Ronald Logan, who is currently in custody,” Sheriff Tobe Leazenby told Radar Online.

Logan is presently in custody due to violation of an unrelated probation. However, police say they have very specific cause to search his property: “Additional information was provided to us as it related to Mr. Logan’s property,” Sheriff Leazenby said.

Police hope that the comprehensive search will lead either to charges related to the deaths of the girls, or to Logan being cleared as a person of interest. Police say Logan is not officially a suspect at this time.

“There is the assumption, or people speculate, that the search warrant will lead to an arrest. A search warrant is obtained. It is an investigative tool to help further the investigation,” Sheriff Leazenby explained.

Logan’s property is very close to the Monon High Bridge, where the girls were now-famously spotted for the final time in a snapchat taken by Liberty German.

Major breakthroughs in this case have been possible, in part, due to the girls’ incredibly resourcefulness after being taken. Before their murder, they managed to capture both pictures and audio of their soon-to-be killer.

“I’ve been at it for 30 years. I’ve never seen anything like this. We’ve had our share of double homicides over the year. We’ve had our share of bigger issues. Just few and far and far between. But this is the worst,” Sheriff Leazenby concluded.
