Just Because Someone Left You Doesn’t Mean You’re Not Worth It

Just Because Someone Left You Doesn’t Mean You’re Not Worth It
Lucas Vicente

We’ve all had days when we feel like we don’t matter. That is pretty normal considering the kind of world we live in.

This world sometimes makes you feel bad about yourself just because someone left you. That’s okay. We’ve all been there. But don’t let it bring you down. Don’t let this world fool you. Don’t let this world define you. Don’t let this world determine your worth. Don’t let this world change you.

I want you to know that another person doesn’t define who you are. Just because he left you, doesn’t mean you don’t matter. Just because he didn’t see you worth, doesn’t mean you aren’t special.

It’s just that that person didn’t appreciate your worth and it’s probably for the best you let go of him. You don’t deserve that kind of guy in your life. You don’t have to force someone to value how important you are. Because trust me, someone out there is willing to go out of his way just to make you feel like a precious gem.

I know it’s hard for you to believe this with whatever’s going on right now. But I want you to know that it’s okay. It’s difficult to bear this kind of feeling, but it’s okay. It’s going to be okay. Someday this is all going to make sense. Someday you will thank the world for allowing you to experience this storm. Someday you will realize that everyone will throw stones at you but that won’t make you any less of a person.

You matter whether or not you’re with someone because He died so you could have life. Because He gave up His breath so you could have yours. Because He still loves you the same in spite of you being unworthy and undeserving of His love. Aren’t these more than enough to make you feel special? Your worth is found in Christ, not in someone else’s.

I want you to keep in mind that you matter. It just takes the right kind of person to see it. Thought Catalog Logo Mark
